ABOUT THE POND & AQUARIUM COMPANY

A Family-Run Business Built on Aquatic Experience

We specialise in the rejuvenation, filtration and ongoing maintenance of established ponds and aquariums.

The business is led by a marine biology graduate with a BSc in Marine Biology and Coastal Zone Management and 20 years of experience in the aquatics trade, including specialist retail, pond and aquarium installations, filtration systems and ongoing maintenance.

That combination of scientific understanding and practical experience shapes the way we approach each system: looking beyond the visible problem to consider the water, livestock, filtration, circulation and equipment working together.

Our aim is not simply to clean a pond or aquarium. We want to understand why the system is struggling, improve it where necessary and leave it easier to maintain afterwards.

OUR APPROACH

Start With the System in Front of Us

Established ponds and aquariums are rarely identical. The livestock, volume, filtration, equipment, maintenance history and surrounding environment all influence what work is appropriate.

That is why we prefer to understand the existing system before recommending major cleaning work or replacement equipment.

01

Understand the existing system before recommending work

02

Consider the pond or aquarium as a complete ecosystem

03

Recommend equipment where it offers a genuine benefit

04

Make future maintenance part of the solution

HOW WE WORK

Knowledge Applied Practically

Scientific understanding is useful when it leads to better practical decisions. Our approach combines aquatic knowledge with the realities of maintaining established ponds and aquariums day to day.

01

Assess Before Recommending

We look at the existing system before deciding what cleaning, maintenance or equipment work is appropriate.

02

Consider the Whole System

Water quality, livestock, filtration, circulation and maintenance all interact, so one part should not be considered in isolation.

03

Recommend What Is Needed

Equipment upgrades should solve an identifiable problem or make the system more practical to maintain.

04

Respect the Livestock

Fish and other livestock are considered throughout cleaning, rejuvenation and maintenance work.

05

Think Beyond the First Visit

Where possible, the work should leave the pond or aquarium easier to manage after we have gone.

06

Provide Ongoing Support

Regular maintenance is available for customers who would rather have routine aquatic care professionally managed.

REJUVENATE • IMPROVE • MAINTAIN

Solve the Immediate Problem — Then Help Keep It Solved

01 Rejuvenate

Restore a neglected or underperforming pond or aquarium and bring it back under control.

02 Improve

Address filtration, circulation or equipment problems that may be contributing to poor performance.

03 Maintain

Provide regular professional care to help keep the system performing properly afterwards.
